Happy Easter Sunday from Krain Sports – Bots Still Feasting at Walmart While Target Gets It Right + Michigan vs UConn Title Game Preview

Hey Krain Sports family,

Happy Easter from Krain Sports

Happy Easter Sunday! Whether you're hunting eggs with the kids, enjoying a big family meal, or sneaking in some cardboard time between baskets, we hope your day is filled with good vibes and maybe a surprise hit or two.

But let's be real - the bots are still out there ruining the fun for actual collectors.

We've been hearing it nonstop lately: Walmart drops are getting absolutely devoured the second they go live. Blasters, Hangers, Boosters, even bigger cases ... they're gone in seconds thanks to automated scripts. Real collectors are left refreshing like crazy with nothing to show for it. It's the same story we've been talking about for weeks now, and it's getting old fast.

Walmart is doing terrible. Target is doing better.

On the flip side, Target seems to have figured something out. Hitting manually on Target.com has been noticeably easier lately. No insane queues that favor bots, better purchase limits that actually work, and inventory that doesn't vanish before a human can click "add to cart." Walmart could learn a thing or two from Target here - better anti-bot measures, smarter limits, and a system that gives everyday collectors a fair shot. We're rooting for every retailer to step up and protect the hobby from the script runners.

In the meantime, we're doing our part at KrainSports.com with stricter limits on high-demand items, improved site security, and early alerts for our subscribers. If you're not on the list yet, jump in ... we'll help keep you one step ahead.

Final Four 2026 in Indianapolis from Krain Sports

Michigan vs UConn: Monday Night National Championship Showdown

While you're enjoying Easter, get ready for a basketball feast tomorrow night. The 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship goes down Monday, April 6 in Indianapolis: No. 1 Michigan vs. No. 2 UConn, tip-off at 8:50 p.m. ET on TBS / TruTV.

UConn is chasing a third title in four years under Dan Hurley ... building what looks like a modern dynasty with elite defense and physical play. Michigan, on the other hand, has been rolling with blowout wins and incredible depth from the transfer portal. The Wolverines are looking to bring home their first championship since 1989.

Key matchups to watch:

UConn's experience and championship pedigree vs. Michigan's red-hot momentum.

Star players on both sides who could see their NIL cards and college parallels spike in value with a big performance.

Any draft prospects who shine - their rookie card buzz starts the moment the confetti falls.

This one has all the makings of a classic. Who are you taking ... the dynasty-seeking Huskies or the surging Wolverines? Drop your predictions in the comments below!

We'll be back tomorrow (Monday, April 6) with another write-up breaking down all the new trading card releases dropping April 6-10, what the bots will be targeting next, and how we're fighting back at Krain Sports.

Until then, enjoy the rest of your Easter. Stay safe, stay patient with the drops, and we'll see you in the comments or over at the shop.

Go Blue… or Go Huskies?

The Krain Sports Team

The Bot Takeover: How Walmart’s Queue Systems (and Others) Are Supercharging Automated Checkout in the TCG and Sports Card World

Hey collectors, if you’ve tried snagging the latest Pokémon TCG drop, One Piece tins, or a fresh Panini/Topps sports card box at Walmart lately, you already know the drill. You refresh the page at drop time, get thrown into a “queue,” wait 10–30 minutes… and by the time your spot comes up, everything is sold out. Meanwhile, thousands of units vanish in seconds. Welcome to 2026, where retailer queue systems - supposedly designed to give everyone a fair shot - have instead turned high-demand trading card drops into a bot playground. What started as an anti-scalper tool has become the very reason botting and automated checkout tools are exploding. Let’s break it down. Why Retailers Rolled Out Queue Systems in the First Place Walmart, Target, Pokémon Center, and others introduced virtual queues during massive restocks (think Walmart Wednesday Pokémon drops, Prismatic Evolutions bundles, One Piece OP-13 tins, or Bowman basketball releases). The goal was simple: Slow down the flood of traff...
