The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set doesn't drop until September 16 but the community is already losing its mind over what's being revealed. 🌟 The Classic Collection Reprints ... Nostalgia at Its Finest

This is what makes 30th Celebration unlike anything PKC has released before. They are bringing back iconic cards from across the entire 30-year history of the Pokémon TCG ... reprinted with new foiling, the 30th anniversary gold border treatment, and that Pikachu "30" stamp in the corner. Every one of these is a piece of history.

Lugia (149/147) from Aquapolis is perhaps the most exciting reprint in the entire set. The original Aquapolis Lugia is one of the most beloved cards from the e-Reader era ... Crystal Type Pokémon-Body, Psychic and Steam Blast attacks, that gorgeous starry night artwork by Naoyo Kimura. Seeing it return with a 30th anniversary stamp is genuinely emotional for longtime collectors. This card alone justifies the hype.

The Twitter leak from @PokemonSwitchStock also confirmed more Classic Collection reprints including Rayquaza EX, Genesect EX, M Gardevoir EX, Greninja BREAK, Solgaleo GX, Buzzwole GX, Pikachu & Zekrom GX, Zacian V, Raikou, Mew VMAX, and Arceus VSTAR. That's a checklist that spans Base Set to Sword & Shield era ... literally 30 years of the game's greatest cards brought back under one roof.

And the Magikarp Classic Collection reprint (30C 206/167) that surfaced this week? That dark gold botanical art by Shinji Kanda is jaw-dropping. This is Magikarp ... the most memed Pokémon in existence ... rendered as a serious work of art. The 30th anniversary team clearly had fun with this one.

⚡ The New Cards ... Art That Belongs on a Wall

Beyond the reprints, the brand new cards being revealed for 30th Celebration are some of the most beautiful illustrations the Pokémon TCG has ever produced. Here's what's been shown so far:

Umbreon ex (MEP 110) ... This might be the single most gorgeous card in the entire set. Umbreon standing in a city square lit by lanterns and fireworks spelling out "30" in the night sky. Eevee at its feet. Dark types celebrating the anniversary in the most cinematic way possible. The Night UPC is built around this card and it's easy to see why. Illustrated by REND and it shows ... this is a masterpiece.

Sylveon ex (S7a 172/184) ... A full floral explosion of color. Sylveon surrounded by roses, ribbons, and celebration energy. The Colorful Harmony attack ... 20 damage for each type of Basic Energy attached to all your Pokémon ... is both thematic and genuinely playable. Art by Show R is storybook beautiful.

Mew ex (30C 152/128) ... Illustrated by Kuroimori, this Mew is floating through a golden forest of flowers and sparkles. Memory Helix ability lets Mew use the attacks of any Benched Pokémon. Mystical, delicate, perfect for the anniversary theme. This is the card people will frame.

Mewtwo ex Futuristic Rare ... The polar opposite of Mew. Dark, angular, art deco geometry with Mewtwo at the center radiating psychic power. This is the brand new Futuristic Rare rarity making its debut in 30th Celebration. The visual contrast between Mew's organic warmth and Mewtwo's cold geometry is intentional and brilliant. Psychic Nova for 200 damage. This is the ceiling pull of the set.

Pikachu ex (XYY 223/188) ... The celebration card. Pikachu at the center of a full party scene with dozens of Pokémon ... Umbreon, Espeon, Noivern, and more ... all celebrating together under fireworks. Zip-Zap Frenzy lets you attach any number of Basic Energy from your hand. This is the card that captures what 30 years of Pokémon means emotionally. Art by Kouki Saitou.

Jirachi ex ... Cosmic swirl energy art that captures Jirachi's wish-granting mythology perfectly. Wish Granter ability lets you draw a card once per turn. Swift for 150 unaffected by Weakness or Resistance. A genuinely playable card with stunning art.

Greninja ex (ST1m TG23/TG30) ... Stage X ... a new evolution mechanic returning for 30th Celebration. Haze Slash shuffles Greninja back into the deck while shutting down all opponent Abilities until the next turn. Shadow Stitching for 110. The dark blue splashing art is electric.

Articuno and Zapdos ... The legendary birds get the celebration treatment with interconnected abilities. Articuno's Frosty Flapping searches for 3 Water Energy if you have Zapdos and Moltres on your bench. Zapdos's Flashy Flapping attaches a Lightning Energy from hand if you have Moltres and Articuno in play. These three are clearly designed to work together ... the ultimate trio deck for nostalgia players.

Gengar ex ... Haunted house lantern art with Gengar grinning from the shadows. The art quality on this card is deeply unsettling in the best way. Ghost type fans are going to chase this one hard.

Maushold (SVI 124/165) ... The most chaotic card in the set. An explosion of Maushold family units across a rainbow paint-splattered background. Slap Together ability. Pure joy in card form. The community favorite for "most unhinged art" in the set ... and that's a compliment.
