The ETB booklet pages for Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration leaked this week and the hobby is in full meltdown mode. In the best possible way. The checklist that's been revealed so far is stacked beyond what most collectors were expecting ... and September 16 just became the most anticipated date in Pokémon TCG history. 📖 What the ETB Booklet Revealed
Classic Collection Reprints ... The reprinted cards from across Pokémon TCG history are the crown jewel of this set. Already confirmed in the booklet: the original Base Set Charizard, the iconic Pikachu & Zekrom Tag Team GX from Team Up, Lugia from Aquapolis, Palkia Lv.X from Great Encounters, Darkrai & Cresselia LEGEND from Triumphant, Uxie from Legends Awakened, and more. The Classic Collection cards are going to be expensive. Base Set Charizard in a modern foil reprint with an anniversary stamp is going to move for serious money. These are not cards that get reprinted often, and the 30th Celebration versions will carry a premium that the originals simply can't match in terms of modern collector appeal.
Futuristic Rares are the new SIR. A brand new rarity type in a milestone anniversary set means zero established market pricing, massive collector curiosity, and extremely limited supply. Mewtwo ex and Mew ex as the first Futuristic Rares ever printed? Those are going to be the ceiling pulls of the set at launch and possibly the highest-value singles in the entire 2026 Pokémon TCG calendar year.
The Trainer SIRs have serious upside. If the pattern from Chaos Rising and Ascended Heroes holds, the character art trainers in this set will command strong prices. Misty and Erika's Jigglypuff are already getting attention from the booklet leak. Gengar art cards always move. Futuristic Rare singles ... Buy Mewtwo ex and Mew ex early before graded copies establish a price ceiling. Raw copies at launch will be underpriced relative to where PSA 10s will trade six months later.
Classic Collection singles ... Buy the Base Set Charizard reprint and Lugia from Aquapolis if you can get them at reasonable early market prices. Both are generational nostalgia pulls that hold value.
